Chromat x Tourmaline SS22
Collective Opulence Celebrating Kindred
New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2022
Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Riis Beach, Queens NY
Introducing Chromat x Tourmaline: future-forward bodywear designed for #ChromatBABES embracing Collective Opulence Celebrating Kindred.
We’re so excited to debut our new collaboration with artist Tourmaline: swimwear for girls who don't tuck, trans femmes, non-binary and trans masc people who pack, intersex people, women, men and everyone embracing Collective Opulence Celebrating Kindred.
Centering gender euphoria at the beach, we are celebrating the collection debut with a beach party at Riis Beach, the historic queer beach in NYC’s the Rockaways.
Tourmaline Artist Statement
This special Chromat collection, Collective Opulence Celebrating Kindred, is all about the sexy fun that happens when you’re able to be fully yourself. Never before has there been a swimwear collection designed for trans, non binary and intersex bodies that places equal value on both comfort and aesthetics, pleasure and play. In a moment when so much in the world is showing us what we don’t want or need it’s more important than ever to have a swimwear collection that allows all of us to bring our full selves to the party.
