MEET THE CHROMAT TEAM | Ben - Studio Manager
Coming straight from the heart of Texas, Ben is our very own slice of southern charm at Chromat HQ. He's the studio manager and takes care of everything you can possibly think of to keep the studio running smoothly – including being resident DJ.
Ben's a tall glass of sweet tea made up of one part tact and two parts biting wit. He's a certified #ChromatBABE because of his gallant sense of benevolence and robust spirit.
What do you do at Chromat?
I'm the Studio Manager, so I basically have a hand in everything except physically making garments.
Who are your favorite fashion designers?
Lee McQueen’s work will never be touched. These days, I’m a fan of Nicolas Ghesquière, Thom Browne, Dries Van Noten, Josep Font for Delpozo, Dion Lee, & David Koma.
Where does most of your family live?
Texas born and raised. (Hi Mom.)
Chromat is all about strong, powerful women. Who is a strong, powerful woman you admire?
Grace Jones.
What are you trying to do more of/less of currently?
More intentional pondering, less mindless wandering.
Who is your favorite person to follow on Twitter?
@emergencypuppy - They always know exactly when I need an emergency puppy. (It's like they have ESPN or something.)
What do you find attractive in people?
A pure and authentic sense of self and awareness of others. Also, I have a weakness for chewing gum.
What is your idea of the perfect day?
2 slow cups of coffee in bed with the latest issue of Interview or Industrie. Chinese food delivery. Another slow cup of coffee for the afternoon and my Dream House Movie Marathon (Meryl's in It's Complicated, Diane's in Something's Gotta Give, Julia's in Closer). Chinese leftovers. SNL, popcorn, and red wine.
What is your favorite Chromat Cage?
I really gravitate to any Chromat cage that emphasizes the shoulders. The Android Arms are my favorite.
