Transness is a part of my beauty
Tourmaline is an artist and filmmaker and writer whose work dreams new worlds into being that are lush, abundant, safe and full of pleasure. We collaborated with her to design swimwear for "girls who don’t tuck" and everyone embracing Collective Opulence Celebrating Kindred (COCK).

Transness is Part of My Beauty
Wearing the Chromat x Tourmaline collection makes me feel so hot and powerful. Like every aspect of my body, hard line, curve, softness- every bit of me belongs. Something that I say to myself when I forget momentarily, is “Transness is part of my beauty”, and these looks really help me calibrate to the beauty of my being.
I love floating on my back in the pool with my eyes closed, going under the water and letting the water hold me. That feels so powerful, and it really reminds me that rest is divine, that we come from water, and we are bodies of water.

Portal Magic to the Future
Being on location for this shoot was both playful and sacred, especially when I started to tune to the reason why we were there. I pivoted my gaze from strangers to what was actually happening, which was something so beautiful. We were building a literal portal to the future where we can show up and show out with each look, whether it was the beach or at the pool or the lounge. To me, the shoot really felt like portal magic on location.

Chromat has always made space for more and more of us. It's ever expanding in such a beautiful, powerful way. I remember the first time I saw a Chromat runway with trans girls, fat bodies, disabled bodies, like beautiful babes. I really felt seen. It wasn't just a show. It felt like a kind of portal or spell for the world that we're tuning to and growing.

We deserve to feel good, to feel hot and to feel whole.
Gender inclusive swimwear is necessary, urgent and long overdue. It's really like a reminder that our bodies are sacred. They're not problems to solve. They're big parts of our beauty, and that we deserve to feel good, to feel hot and to feel whole.
It's not just swimwear. Chromat x Tourmaline is armor made of joy and pleasure and fun and opulence.
